Position Title: Lead Infant Teacher
Reports To: School Director or Program Supervisor
Overview
As a Lead Infant Teacher at SpringStone Montessori School, you will guide children through their most formative years with a focus on independence, curiosity, and joyful learning. You’ll lead a Montessori-based classroom for children ages 3–6, fostering an environment where they feel safe, respected, and inspired.
Our Infant Toddler Teachers are not just instructors—they are nurturing guides who respect each child’s unique journey. Through individualized learning plans and hands-on materials, you’ll help each child develop socially, emotionally, and intellectually at their own pace.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver a developmentally appropriate, Montessori-based curriculum in a structured yet flexible classroom environment
• Prepare, organize, and maintain Montessori materials to encourage independent exploration
• Observe, track, and document each child’s progress and tailor lessons to their individual needs
• Create a warm, inclusive, and respectful environment where every child feels heard and valued
• Foster life skills like independence, responsibility, grace and courtesy
• Communicate openly and regularly with parents about their child’s development and daily experience
• Provide mentorship and guidance to Assistant and Support Teachers in your classroom
• Participate in school events, training, and professional development opportunities
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean classroom that aligns with Montessori principles
Qualifications & Skills
▪ Montessori certification or willingness to pursue certification (training support provided)
▪ Experience in early childhood education strongly preferred
▪ Deep understanding of the Montessori method or willingness to learn
▪ Strong communication, observation, and organizational skills
▪ A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor
▪ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
▪ Must pass required background checks
